Little Free Libraries

A new trend has begun called Little Free Libraries. It is a great way to gather the community and share knowledge and creativity, and besides, it’s just FUN!

The concept started as a tribute to his mother in 2009 by Todd Bol, of Hudson Wisconsin. His mother had been a school teacher so Todd built a model of a one room school house and filled it with books. He placed it on a pole outside his house where friends and neighbors alike enjoyed it. Soon there were more and eventually he was joined by Rick Brooks, of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Together the two have built a real movement that seems to be ever growing.
